MILTON, Mass. -- Senior assistant captain Scott Sullivan (Tewksbury, MA) scored two goals with two assists to lead the Tufts Jumbos to a 6-0 victory over the Curry College Colonels in ECAC Northeast Division hockey action on Thursday night. The win lifted the Jumbos to 7-0 in league play, 9-4 overall.

Tufts pumped in four first-period goals, added two in the middle frames and then pulled back the horses against struggling Curry (2-14-1, 2-8). Freshman Tim Havern (Arlington, MA) got things rolling quickly with his first collegiate goal 1:14 into the game. Senior captain Drew Carleton (Shaker Heights, OH) scored unassisted, then freshman Mike Carceo (Belmont, MA) and Sullivan scored powerplay goals 31 seconds apart to give the Jumbos a 4-0 lead. Sullivan netted his second and senior Tom Feeley (Westwood, MA) added his first of the year short-handed to complete the scoring for Tufts.

Reigning Northeast Goalie of the Week Ian Kell (St. Paul, MN/St. Paul Academy) made 24 saves in goal to earn his first career shutout. The Jumbos out-shot the Colonels, 46-24, with Curry goalie Justin Perry stopping 40 shots. Twenty-six penalties were called, 15 to the frustrated hosts.

The Jumbos have a key league game against Fitchburg State College on Saturday night at Boston College's Conte Forum. The puck drops at 8.
