HERSHEY, Penn. -- Senior defenseman Pete Schieffelin (Jamestown, RI) scored his second goal of the season with 5:21 remaining as the Tufts Jumbos (8-4, 6-0) remained unbeaten in the ECAC's Northeast Division with a 4-3 victory at Lebanon Valley (15-3, 6-3) on Saturday afternoon.

The Jumbos were outshot 52-30 and watched the Flying Dutchmen overcome a 3-0 first-period deficit before Schieffelin scored from the slot to give Tufts the victory that ended Lebanon Valley's six-game winning streak. LVC had two shots in front in the final 10 seconds, but sophomore goaltender Ian Kell (St. Paul, MN) swatted them aside to finish the afternoon with 49 saves.

The Jumbos bolted to a quick 2-0 lead in the first four minutes as freshman Rob LaQuaglia (Medford, MA) and senior Scott Sullivan (Tewksbury, MA) tallied at 1:38 and 3:55, respectively. Sullivan added his second of the game and ninth of the season on the power play at 17:58 to boost the Tufts lead to 3-0 after one period.

The Dutchmen enjoyed a two-man advantage for 1:04 midway through the second period, and capitalized at 9:55 when Jason Kilcoyne ripped a slap shot that beat Kell. The nation's second-ranked power play added another two-man advantage goal at 16:15 when Chris White notched his sixth of the year.

Tufts then spoiled a two-minute two-man advantage early in the third period, then Lebanon Valley knotted the score at 7:11 when Tim DeVuono picked up his fifth of the season. The 3-0 bulge was gone, but regrouped an earned the difficult road win on Schieffelin's goal.
