BOSTON -- Senior captain Drew Carleton (Shaker Heights, OH) and junior Natan Obed (Goose Bay, NFLD) each scored twice as the Tufts University Jumbos won their fourth straight game, 6-2, over the Nichols College Bison in ECAC North hockey action on Saturday afternoon.

Junior Bobby Frizzell (Plymouth, MA) scored just 1:12 into the game to give winless Nichols (0-12, 0-5) a 1-0 lead that they held for most of the first period. Carleton tied it with just 36 seconds left in the first frame and that started a five-goal run by the Jumbos. Carleton gave Tufts the lead for good with his 10th of the season at 7:41 of the second, then Obed netted two in a row including the eventual game-winner. Senior assistant captain Scott Sullivan's (Tewksbury, MA) fourth goal of the year gave the Jumbos a 5-1 lead halfway through the third period.

Nichols closed the gap to 5-2 on junior Dave Foley's (Medford, MA) powerplay goal with 3:32 left in the third, but the Bison would get no closer. Tufts freshman Rob LaQuaglia (Medford, MA) scored his sixth of the season into an empty net with the Jumbos shorthanded to put the icing on the cake.

Making his first career start, junior Alex Scerbo (Hingham, MA) made 18 saves in the Tufts net for the victory. His counterpart, Nichols senior Jason Latimer (Troy, MI), stopped 40 shots. The Jumbos (5-2) remained unbeaten in the league at 3-0 heading into the semester break.
