Played Bowdoin away Friday night - We were in this for awhile but ended up losing 5-1 to a very strong team ---- Bowdoin
went on top in the first period at 5:21 - we hung in there and tied it at 3:03 in the second on a PP, Sider from Story and
Edwards - from here on Bowdoin applied the pressure throughout and added two more goals in the second and third periods for
the 5-1 - the good thing about the home and home scheduled is we see them again and that should be a much closer game
Traveled up to Colby for the Saturday affair - this started out with the puck in our end a lot but Barchard and the D kept
kept it scoreless until 17;15 when Story put us on top 1-0 from Plimmer and Voigt ----- in the second period Colby continued
to press and tied it up at 5:18 - we went ahead 2-1 at 16:35 Sider from Story and held that lead going into the third
period ----- early in the period Voigt split the defense for an unassisted shorthanded goal - the positive energy from this
held up for the rest of the game for a nice 3-1 road win - even though outshot we hit 3 posts and had another goal waved
off ----- we now end the first semester 3-3 (2 home and 4 away) in the league and 4-5 overall - Gallegos has missed the last
5 games and Fadden has yet to play so we do hope to get them back and add some depth to the roster - the freshman on the team
as a got a lot of good ice time so that sound should help next semester
