December 11, 2005 - Conn. College

Last game of the first semester against long time NESCAC rival Conn College

The first period is reasonably well played but CC has the edge with a lot of pressure but no scoring thanks to James Kalec in goal - late in the period we get a hard working shorthanded goal M McCarthy from O'Connell and Thompson followed very quickly by a Cleary goal from Bailey and Clark - we are then able to close out the first up 2-0 though outshot 2 to 1

The second is more of the same - CC is still putting real pressure on us all over the ice and finally score on a PP half way through the period - we come back on a real nice PP goal G McCarthy from M McCarthy and Clark and again hold on to make it 3-1 after two

The third is really all CC, and but for Kalec we would be in deep trouble - CC scores on the PP with 7 minutes left, they continue the pressure all the way, pull their goalie, we score MM from GM and Cappellano and we walk off with a 4-2 win

The saves were 58 us, 25 them --- no question who the #1 star was - I will say CC was the hardest working team we have faced this year, they came after us for 3 full periods
