A quick recap of last week's games

Tuesday at UMass Dartmouth - I was not there but this was a close game from beginning to end with us prevailing 3-2 for our first win. Ninneman in goal was outstanding. We got up 2-0 in the first on goals by McCarthy and O'Connell. UMD closed it to 2-1 in the second with 32 seconds remaining. It stayed that way until they pulled the goalie - Hurd put it in the open net and UMD closed out the scoring with 10 seconds left. It was UMD's first loss of the season.

On Friday we were at home against St. Anslems. We got off to a very poor start and found ourselves down 8-1 after two periods. They were good but not that good and we were bad but not that bad. In the third we played some very good hockey, other than a goal against with a few seconds left, and walked out on the short end of a 10-4 game.

On Saturday we met an old nemisis NE College. We battled hard in the first two periods and tho outshot badly went into the third leading 4-2. Some strong goaltending by Kalec, pretty good defense and goals by Hurd, McCarthy, O'Connell and Hurd, paved the way. In the third period we played our best hockey of the year and after 18 minutes it was still 4-2. Two goals in 13 seconds (McCarthy and Cleary) gave us the 6-2 final. A nice win against a tough team and all in all a decent week.
