Friday night at NE College - we have never won at this barn, tough place to play - first period no scoring - 5 penalties - they have the better of the play - second period we get on the board on a PP at 8:13 Wilson from John, 11 penalties, we are badly outshot but with great goal tending we hold the fort for a 1-0 lead after two - in the third NEC still can not beat are goalie and we score on 2 of the first three shots at 6:18 and 11:22, both even up goals by John and Metcalfe with assists to Cooper, Plimmer and Derosa - NEC finally gets on the board at 16:14 but a sustained rally is not in the works and the final is remarkable 3-1 win - they give out stars up there and we got all three, Scott Barchard, Trevor John and Nick Metcalfe in that order, all well deserved - a big win for us overcoming being outshot by quite a bit

Back up to NH to face St. Anslems Saturday afternoon - We start this out in rare form with Cooper opening up the scoring at 0:33 assists to Derosa and a hard working Vitale - three minutes later we strike again with Fitoussi scoring from a scramble in front with assists to Metcalfe and Federov ---- St A's changes goalies right away and that stops the bleeding for them - no more scoring in the period, they pretty much control the play but again Barchard is up to the task - we finally connect on a PP at 17:34 with some good work by Plimmer (g), Walker and Amico - this 3-0 lead holds up into the second period - balance wise this is our best period with action at both ends but no goals - into the third we go and St. A's is really rolling - some great saves at our end but our possession time is not good - we do however not allow any goals until SA finally breakthrough at 14:10 with a shorthanded goal to cut the lead to 2 - we seem to have lost our intensity and our opponents are not in a mood to sit back - they strike again at 18:05 and the situation is getting desperate from our standpoint and it does not get better - at 18:40 the game is tied with St A's on a 6 on 5 situation - we escape regulation with no more scoring and into overtime we go ----- St A's come right into our zone, get off one shot, we get control of the puck and get into their end and control play for over a minute but no shots, finally Diaco gets off a shot, it appears to tip something and into the net it goes - an unlikely 4-3 win - Korchin and Walker assisted and worked hard keeping the puck in their end of the rink ----- again we came up short shot wise but with great goaltending we stayed in the game - we should have closed it out in regulation but hopefully we realize that intensity doesn't stop until the last buzzer goes off
