Saturday vs. Brockport, a SUNY school in NY - 1st period Brockport took the lead midway through the period and that held up until 8:47 of the second period when we tied it up on a PP goal, Cooper from Diaco, Brockport came back with a PP goal at 16:13 to take a 2-1 lead into the third period - they made it 3-1 at 12:18 - not to be outdone we scored at 13:41, DeRosa from Vitale, then in the waning seconds of the game we tied it up Derosa from Diaco ---------- into overtime and no scoring so the game ended officially as a 3-3 tie ----- then a shootout for tourney purpose and it goes 4 rounds before anyone scores and Brockport grabs the finals berth with a goal ------------- Evin Koleini played well in goal entering the game midway through the second period after Scott Barchard suffered an ankle injury

In the final we played Becker where former coach Steve Hoar now has the reins - we scored three times in the first period and three times in the second eventually winning 6-3 ----- scoring were Derosa 2, Federov, Vitale and Gallegos 2 ---- assists went to Milley,Gallegos, Pappas, Plimmer, Diaco, Cooper, DeRosa 2, and John

so we ended up 1-0-1 for the weekend, outshot our opponents in both games and Tom DeRosa gained a NESCAC player of the week award

last night NEC College came to town, ranked in the top 20 as usual and the usual collection of Swedes, Finns, Russians and Canadians ----- in the first period we played well throughout and come out of it with a 2-0 lead - Kyle Gallegos got both goals one at 6;46 from Trevor John and Dylan Cooper and the other a PP goal from Andy Davis - good work all around - in the second period it was a different story, NEC dominated from beginning to end and came out of it with three goals, one on the PP, to take 3-2 lead into the third - NEC continued to outplay us but we got a nice goal from Dylan Plimmer at 7:48 (from Zach Diaco) to tie it up only to have NEC go ahead again 21 seconds later ---- at this point we start to play better but cannot score - late in the period there are matching penalties so it is 4 on 4 for a bit then NEC gets hit with a "too many men on the ice penalty" - we yank the goalie - 8 seconds later we tie it up with a goal from John from DeRosa and Davis ------ the last minute and a half were uneventful but tense so into OT we go again - it did not last long, the puck never got out of the NEC end and John tucked in the winner at 0:39 of OT, DeRosa assisting - this was a fun game to watch and a great game to win - Koleini played in goal again and did well - shots were 33-34
