Up to Vermont for the Castleton Tournament - first game on Saturday vs Manhattan and not a good outing for the Jumbos -
ended up 7-0 so not much to say about that - a reminder that we cannot let up against anyone, particularly a very good
opponent
In the consolation we played a solid Brockport team without the services of Voight, Helfrich, Metcalf and White -
3 injuries and a DQ - anyway we got off to a good start scoring at 3:54 Plimmer from Bell and Oullette - Brockport
tied it up on a PP at 15:18 and that is how an evenly played period ended ------------- in the second we again started the
scoring at 1:07 soph Derek Schartz from Oullette again and Campbell - not to be outdone Brockport went ahead at 5:36 and
then went ahead at 10:28 on another PP - Gallegos tied it up at 14:52 from Plimmer and Bell but no more scoring this period
and 3-3 going into the third --------------- The Jumbos in the person of fr Dom Granato with an unassisted goal went ahead
at 2:28, we went 2 up at 7:52 Bell from Plimmer and Gallegos and Phillips kept Brockport off the scoreboard the rest of the
way - we got an open net goal at 18:45 fr James Randaccio from Granato and soph Shawn Power
Not a bad weekend considering the inauspicious start
Next week at Williams on Friday night and then up to Middlebury on Saturday afternoon, should be a very big crowd at
that one
Will not hear from me until Friday next - off on our annual humanitarian trip very early this Fiday morning, Ben
