I was not able to attend the two weekend games but here is a brief report - played at Middlebury Friday
night, might as well open against top teams ---- first period scoreless - we open the second with a score
at 1:05 Cooper from DeRosa and Amico, no more scoring in that period - in the third we strike again, early
at 3:05 Diaco from Plimmer - this looks promising - our goalie, Barchard is playing well, the defense is
doing their job and the forwards have done it so far - no more suspense - Middlebury pulls the goalie with
about three minutes to go and we take advantage with a Sider goal at 17:37 to wrap up a 3-0 win - first
ever over Middlebury in the current era - great win for the entire team and the program - everyone played
well and I am sure other teams will take notice
On Saturday we played a very good Williams team - unfortunately they did to us what we did to Middlebury
ie scored at 0:15 of the first and 0:19 of the second, same guy, to take a 2-0 lead - another goal at
4:29 of the second made it 3-0 and the final was 5-0 - Williams will be in the top mix at the end of
the season
On Tuesday we play a non league game against Curry - no score after one period - more action in the
second unfortunately Curry took a 3-1 lead into the third period, our goal coming from DeRosa from
Pieri and Diaco - our goal and 2 Curry goals were on the PP - in the third we made it interesting
scoring at 8:27, Pieri from DeRosa and Cooper but we could not tie it up so that how it ended
An incredible start on Friday - we look to build on that in the upcoming games up in Vermont - Brockport on Saturday at 3:00 followed by either Castleton or Becker on Sunday at 12:00 or 3:00
