Last night we played good undefeated So. NH team in a non conference game

The first period was evenly played with neither team taking charge, hence the score of 0-0 after one

The second period was quite different, more penalties, more scoring, but still no one took charge - we started the scoring off at 4:54 M McCarthy from G McCarthy - at 10:27 SNH tied it up on a PP goal and we came back on our PP to go ahead at 13:22 Gimbel from O'Connell - that did not seem to charge us up and SNH tied it up 2 minutes later and we went into the third period as usual tied up - this is not good for my old nerves

The play is pretty even but we are playing well only in short spurts - we go ahead when Cleary finishes off a nice combination from the M and G McCarthy to put us ahead at 10:19 - we then seem to forget that the game wasn't quite over and SNH tied it up less that a minute later - the rest of the period saw both teams having good chances , both goalies (Kalec) playing very well but no scoring - at the 19 minute mark we get a huge break when SNH is called for a 5 minute major giving us a PP for the last minute of the period and 4 minutes of the OT if needed - it was needed

We continue on the PP but we really did not threaten and finally got the make up call against us two minutes in the OT - 4on4 produces nothing, we hold them off 4 on 5 for 30/40 seconds and the game ends 3-3

penalties Tufts 8, SNH 10 saves Tufts 51, SNH 38 (it did not seem to be that much difference) The game was basically between two pretty evenly matched teams, though these are the games we have to win as the season progresses
