We played Curry in a non league game last night, an old time rival from back in the early 80's - we dominated the early part of the game but no scoring until 9:46 on a 4 on 4 situation - Voight scored assisted by fr. Brian Oullette and White - soon afterwards at 11:55 Gallegos stole the puck from the Curry defenseman and potted a quick unassisted goal - that was it for the period ---------------- in the second it was fairly hectic, 29 shots, and only one goal a PP by the good side fr. Keith Campbell from White again and Bell ---- the third period was a little strange, we got outshot 17 to 9, but won the period 3-0 - Phillips was obviously very good in the net while we capitalized on Curry penalties - at 10:05 Plimmer scored from Voight on a 5 on 3, Plimmer again from Gallegos at 11:47 and finally White scored an open net goal at 19:41 assisted by fr. Aidan Hartigan for the 6-0 final ---- strangely enough the Curry coach started yanking his goalie with about 3:30 to go (I think he also changed goalies) - then he called a timeout with about a minute to go - I was told he did this because the Pizzas had not arrived yet - both teams played 8 freshmen which is quite unusual Off to Vermont this weekend for the Castleton tournament - we face a strong Manhattanville club in the first round on Saturday at 3:00 ----------------- next home games are two good ones, Bowdoin on Fri the 7th and Colby on the 8th, Ben Seen at the game on Saturday Paul Nemeskal, with three of his 4 kids, and Garrett Nannene - lets get more of you out - we had a big crowd to both weekend games and last night
