I was unable to be there but here is the recap
1st period - Middlebury comes out strong and shows us why they are undefeated in their last 18 games - a better team than we saw in early Jan - anyway they score at 7:32 and a PP goal at 19:12 to take what proves to be a lead that will not be overcome
2nd period - not a good start with a quickie against at 0:30 followed by another PP goal at 4:30 for a commanding 4-0 lead - 2 more make it 6-0 to close out the period
3rd period - the Jumbos break the ice at 4:34, Delaney Winn scoring with a deserving assist to Mike Carceo in his last game for Tufts - Middlebury gets one more for the 7-1 final
A discouraging way to close out the season but this team made tremendous strides this year -
in fact against the 4 teams in the finals we were 1-2-1, beating Hamilton and tying Colby while losing to Trinity and Middlebury the 1 and 2 seeds -
