Not much to report here - I had to cancel plans to go to the game in order to battle a flood engulfing
my basement, now starting to dry out - anyway went up to Middlebury, as usual in many playoffs, to play
in the round of eight ----- we got a nice start right away taking a 1-0 lead at 3:39, Derosa from Cooper
- that held up for about ten minutes - Middlebury then scored two quick goals to make it a 2-1 and that
is how the period ended - we hung in there in the second with Barchard playing his usual high caliber
game - Middlebury got a PP goal at 4:12 but that was it - in the third Middlebury put he game on ice
with goals at 5:59 and 6:41 making it a 5-1 game ---- we got one back at 10:37, Pieri from Story, M
countered with one more at 16:43 for the 6-2 finale ----- they are very good and should win it all
probably against Trinity ---- on the plus side it was announced today Scott Barchard was named to the
NESCAC first team all stars and Tom Derosa was named to the second team - quite an honor for these two
and for the team - both being underclassmen makes it all the more impressive - the team banquet will
be April 3rd at the same venue as last year. you will hear about all that from Lisa Antonelli - the
Alumni games will be a week from Saturday at 11:50 and 1:00 - still waiting to hear from many
participants - that's it, Ben
