A lot of implications going into these games - St. Mike's on Friday night - we open the scoring quickly with a PP goal 1:17 into the game, Barker from Korchin and Vitale - good game for the balance of the period and in spite of giving up a goal at 14:05 we were outplaying SM - this continued in the second period but still could not score when alas SM decides they need some rest in the penalty box and we quickly obliged with two quick PP goals at 11:53 and 13:42 (5 on 3), Derosa from Davis and Walker from Davis and Amico ---- at 17:21 we upped the lead to 4-1 Derosa from Cooper and Plimmer ----- the third period was not pretty as we rattled off three more goals at 8:42, 11:09 (PP) and 14:12, Derosa, Diaco and Story scoring from Vitale, John, Diaco (2) and Davis - SM closed it out with a PP goal at 17:28 --- good game to win - with Colby's loss we locked in the 7th seed ---- Evan Koleini saw some action in goal

Saturday #2 ranked Norwich flew into town and they continued to fly on the ice - in my mind the best team we faced all season by a good margin - the pace was very quick and we worked very hard - Norwich scored first on an unassisted goal at 6:43 - we came right back and tied it up at 7:17 Derosa from Davis only to have Norwich get the lead right back at 7:53 from this point on until the middle of the second period we played, in my opinion, as well as we have all year but could not take advantage of the limited number of opportunities we had to score - finally at 12:05 Norwich scored to make it 3-1 - again we hung in there but late in the period Norwich poured in three goals in 1:54 to put the game out of reach at 6-1 --- Norwich scored once more at 15:30 for the 7-1 final - hard to say it but this should not have any negative effect on us going into the playoffs which now will send us up to Middlebury next Saturday (the third time in 5 years that we have done this) --- Coach had all the seniors playing including Jay McNamara in goal, who in spite of the score played very well and has been a tremendous team leader while backing up Scott Barchard the past two years
