Fri nite vs Babson - a very good club that proved to be stronger than we were - we got thru the first period trailing 2-1 but that was upped to 4-1 after two and 7-2 for the final - Cory Korchin scored both our goals - once again we dressed all 10 freshman, had key people out with injuries, but worked hard to the end

Saturday afternoon we went UMass Boston for the seasons finale - we started well with a goal at 2:37, Hertzog from Gimbel and Corbett - that held up for the rest of the period - in the second both teams had chances, both goalies (Kalec) played well and we made it 2-0 at 12:27, Milo from McCarthy and Ryder - UM came back to score to make it a one goal game going into the third --- once again we scored early, Corbett from Melillo to give us a little cushion - at this juncture we suffered a fatal letdown - the UM op line scored at 5:06 and 5:32 to tie the game up and went ahead 4-3 at 13:48 - we had several chances to tie it up and UM had chances to increase the lead but neither happened - some 6 on 5 action during the last minute failed to save us - a disappointing loss to close out the campaign

The last game for four seniors: John Murphy our co-captain from Belmont Hill who missed a lot of action due to injuries but when on the ice was a force to be reckoned with, all of our opponents knew what his number was - Peter Corbett our other co-captain from Winchester HS who missed all his junior year with a leg injury but came back this year to play well in 22 games when I think most guys would have thrown the towel in after their sophomore year - Brian Bailey, from MT. St. Charles, almost made it 4 years in a row without missing a game but got injured with 5 games left this year to break the streak - he did returned for the finale and played his usual solid game - Matt Dalton from Noble and Greenough also played most every game and contributed with a great attitude on and off the ice (a great kid to converse with) his leadership and attitude will be missed ------ all in all four fine student athletes who have and will represent the University well

The banquet will be 4/21, the alumni game is 3/10 and the golf outing is 6/15 - you will be hearing about all these dates as they approach
