at Amherst Fri nite
1st period - good period both teams - Amh took the lead at 6:14 and it held up in spite of us having multiple PP and Amh having one
2nd period - Sullivan scores early (from Byrne) to make it 1-1 and once again a great period of hockey - Sully scores again on a PP at 11:54 (from Walsh) only to see Amh tie it up at 14:13 -- no more scoring in spite of quite a few more penaties on both teams - 2-2 going into the third
3rd period - Sully gets the hat trick, unassisted PP goal at 0:22, putting us up by one and the excellent hockey continues - we then suffer a meltdown for 1:34 and find ourselves down 3-5 - many chances later the game end with no more scoring
A tough loss to a good team, but we played one of our best games of the year -- shots were 39-38 Tufts
Hamilton Sat afternoon
1st period - ( I was not in attendance and have not spoken to Coach Murphy yet) Hamilton scores first and we score at 12:18 Thompson from Rotondi and Cleary - that is how it ends
2nd period - even up to the 10 min mark than Ham scores and one minute later get a shorthanded goal to take a 3-1 lead - they continued to pepper Crapser in the goal but the period ends with no more scoring
3rd period - Ham rattles off three goals for the 6-1 final giving them a little revenge for the sound win we had over them on our ice last year
Season grinds down with a game at Plymouth Wed nite and two big home games on Fri and Sat, both at 7:30 against Trinity and Wesleyan - stop by and see some good hockey
