I was not at either game this weekend so this will be brief

On Friday night we played U of NE, a new team to the league up in Maine - it went like this - 1st period no scoring, even play - 2nd period we are outplayed and outshot, UNE scores at 3:34 and 17:27 but in between we get a PP goal, Derosa from Plimmer, to make it 2-1 going into the third - play is good, no penalties, and as usual we seem to wake up halfway through the period to score at 10:47, 18:47 and 19:54 the usual empty net situation - the goals were from Korchin, Cooper and Plimmer with assists to Rosano, Amico, Derosa, Barker and Plimmer ---- apparently the shot keeper suffered from double vision and recorded 62 shots for UNE - our folks with better vision had the figure at about 45 with 40 for us

On Saturday up to So. Maine (that does not sound right) --- this game starts off as many have with a quick goal from the home team at 1:02 --- things settle down but we go down 2-0 at 12:07 on their PP - we then get a break eking out a PP goal at 19:58, Derosa from Cooper, to make it 2-1 - in the second SM does it again scoring on a PP at 1:56 to go up 3-1 and things do not look too good - we start picking it up a bit and get back on the scoreboard with a PP goal at 12:07 Diaco from John and Cooper - no more scoring in the period ------ in the third we take over - at 4:28 John fires a nifty wrister off a Derosa pass to tie it up, 4 minutes later Amico and Walker combine for a goal and at 13:51 we get another PP goal Cooper from Barker and Plimmer that is how it ended

This where we are - if the season ended today we would go up to Middlebury for a first round game - by the way we did clinch the last playoff spot owning the tiebreaker with Conn College - I think 1st place Bowdoin (25pts) and 2nd place Middlebury (24pts) will win both games this weekend - we are in 7th place with a league record of 7-7-3, 11-8-3 overall and 17 points, Colby is in the 8th spot with 16 points and Hamilton is in 6th with 19 points ---- the weekend games will determine who we play and where - stay tuned ----- by the way Barchard was he #1 star Friday night with Cooper and Derosa #2 and 3

that is it - congrats to the team for their effort so far but it is not over till Jumbo sings again, Ben
