Fri nite at Babson
1st Period - a tough start with the home team scoring 1:25 into the game - the period was however pretty evenly played - we tied it up Carceo from Baker and Hurd at 14:50 and that is how the period ended - good start for a tough road game 2nd Period - how things change quickly as we all know - Babson scored 11 seconds into an immediate PP, followed it up with a score at 2 minutes and scored again at 5:41 to take a 4-1 lead - we immediately responded with a Bickoff goal from Byrne and Sullivan but we were outplayed for the rest of the period, outshot 14-8, and went down further at 19:31 to close out the 2nd down 5-2
3rd period - we play play well, outshoot them 10-7, and in spite of alot of very good opportunities fail to score so the game ends 2-5

Sat afternoon at UMassBoston
An important game for us to win to keep us in the playoff hunt
1st and 2nd period - I'll make it simple - we rattle off 9, yes 9 straight goals to go ahead 9-0 at the six minute mark of the second period - goals were Hurd 2, Sullivan 3, Delaney Winn 1, Rotondi 2, Byrne 2 --assists to Martin 1, Walsh 2, Sullivan 1, Cleary 2, Kniaz!, Thompson 2, Carceo 2, Bickoff 1, McCarthy 1, and Van Pelt 1 - Ninneman and Kane split the goaltending chores - Coach Murphy deserves plaudits for calling off the troops for the last half of the game - we dumped the puck, went into an off forecheck, and had I think 3 shots over the last half of the game - our defense played well considering that we never kept the puck in the offensive end during this whole time - we have been on the other end of deals like this last year and the good coaches like Beaney, McShane and Murphy know how to handle it -- a good lesson for the players and the fans

Big stuff this coming weekend as the standings below will attest - home against Hamilton Fri at 7:35 and Amherst on Sat at 3 - try to see one of these games

5th Hamilton 8-6-1 17
6th Tufts 6-7-2 14
Amherst 6-7-2 14
Williams 6-7-2 14
9th Wesleyan 5-9-1 11
10th Conn Col 3-8-3 9
