Games this weekend at Williams and Middlebury - sounds like fun - Williams beat us soundly at our place earlier in the season ---- we start off the scoring early Shawn Power unassisted at 4:52 - Williams ties it up at 9:48 and that the way the first ends, good period ----- in the second Power assists Tyler Voigt at 1:28 to put us up 2-1 and that was it for the second period, both teams are playing well and we are more than holding are own ----- the third is more of the same, few penalties, both goalies are playing very well and the shots are coming at each goalie every minute of the period - Williams finally ties it up at 13:16 - as we seem to do often get a penalty late in a tie game, 18:02, to make it really exciting - we survive that and into OT we go ----- not to be outdone we go shorthanded again 28 seconds into the OT and again we survive it and to make it really exciting we score with 48 seconds left in the game, Kyle Gallegos from Voigt to grab a great win --- the shots were (I think the scorekeeper multiplied by 2) Williams 60 us 58, it may not be a record but it is a dam good average

Off to see our pals at Middlebury - we start off being outplayed soundly and Middlebury potted one at 6:53 to grab the early lead - it stays that way well into the second period when we finally have to go 3 on 5 and that is our undoing - they grab the lead and that holds up for the period --- we are getting outshot badly and the stripes are not doing us any favors ---- this starts to even up as soon as the third period starts, at 2:52 Gallegos scores from Blake Edwards to make it a ball game - we continue to play better but no scoring - late in the period we pull Barchard, Middlebury gets a penalty, and we put one in at 19:28, Jared Barker from Edwards - no more scoring so for the third straight game we go into OT - this time it ends in a tie

Going to these two clubs and grabbing 3 out of 4 points in the standings is huge - obviously the team is playing well together and as I said at the beginning of the season one goal games and OT's are the order of the day - it is exciting to say the least

Another big weekend coming up - Home and home vs our travel partner Conn College who also had a very good weekend tying both Williams and Middlebury - Home Friday at 7:00 and at Conn Saturday at 7:00 ------- this plus Amherst and Hamilton on the road next weekend and Bowdoin and Colby at home after that make the playoff hunting very exciting for us ---- stay tuned
