First up Suffolk at home on Tuesday in a non league encounter - not a bad team, they recently beat UMass Boston by 1 and lost to Babson by 1 - we came playing petty well and finally opened the scoring at 10:15 Derosa from Diaco and Vitale - right after that Amico tallied at 17:19 (actually not right after) to make it 2-0 from Story and John ---- that was it for the first period --- in the second we continued to roll with John powering one in from the point (Derosa and Cooper assisted) and at 6:27 Derosa got second of the game from Cooper and Davis - Derosa then capped off his hat trick on the PP at 13:59 from Cooper and John ---- Suffolk finally got into the scoring column a 18:57 to make it 5-1 after two -- in the third play got a bit sloppy - too many penalties on both sides, not a fun period to watch - we did score twice, 5 on 5 at 1:33, Story from Walker and Amico then a PP goal at 12:49, Story again from Amico and Metcalfe -- shots were a little in our favor and Barchard played well in goal - McNamara got some time in the third in goal and again did well -- president Bacow was at the game rooting on his favorite player, Joe Rosano, though he couldn't help him score on a breakaway - Larry, the president, stayed with me for the whole game, and did not seem bothered at all with all the penalties in the third period

Friday night up to Bowdoin for the first time in their new rink, about 20MM worth, not a bad barn --- in the game Bowdoin jumped off to a 2-0 lead with goals at 4:55 and 13:08 , one a very fluky goal more reminiscent of a pool shot - we remained in the game, got a PP late in the period and scored at 17:39 , Davis from John and Diaco, to make it 2-1 then got another PP before the period ended and tied it up at 18:56, Derosa from John and Davis --- the second period was mostly controlled by Bowdoin but some good work in the defensive zone and strong goaltending kept them off the board without too many quality opportunities - -- in the third period we gave up a goal early at 1:28 - from here on play evened out a bit, we had a few chances, they had good chances but no scoring -- as usual we pulled the goalie with 2 minute to go but could not tie it up - tough loss on the road to a good team

Up to Colby on Saturday to play a strong team - I was not there but the scoring went like this - Colby scores at 1:02 of the first, we tie it up at 6:53, Diaco from John and Davis, Colby goes up 2-1 at 6:53 - that is it - in the second Colby scores at 0:30 and 16:38 to go up by 3, we close the gap at 17:53, Vitale from Davis and that is it for two periods ---- in the third Colby scores at 1:31 and we came back on the PP at 3:54 to make it a 2 goal game and that is how it ended, 5-3 - now they were better but three goals in the first 3:03 minutes combined in the periods really hurt - forgot, obviously we pulled the goalie again, I think that is the 12th time one of the teams did this so far this year

Looking ahead 6 of our last 8 games are at home - Castleton and Skidmore this weekend, Wesleyan and Trinity on the 5th and 6th, on the road for UNE and So. Maine then back home for the final pair St. Mike's and Norwich (currently) at the top of the heap - some very good hockey in the offing - come and see some, Ben
