Two rugged games over the weekend up in Maine - I was home under the weather a bit and doing some late scouting
Friday at Colby (7-4-1) - Colby gets 2 in the first period and we get one back early in the second, Cleary from Sullivan and Hurd - Colby picks up 2 more before the period ends and it stays that way until halfway thru the third when we close to 4-2, Sullivan from Smotherman - an open net goal at the very end makes it a final of 5-2 -- Colby's first 4 were all PP goals while ours were the 5 on 5 variety - We played hard, got some very good goaltending from Crapser, shots were about 45 - 30 them

Saturday at Bowdoin - We broke on top Sullivan from Byrne only to have Bowdoin tie it up one minute later and it was 1-1 after one - Bowdoin scored halfway thru the 2nd to make it 2-1 and we continued to hang in thru the balance of the period and into the third - Bowdoin got the big goal at 15:44 of the third and an open netter for the 4-1 final (remember last year we lost to this club 14-2) - again we played hard, had a legitimate upset chance, made a few too many mistakes in our end and came up a little short - we are playing better and hope fully this will give us a few wins down the homestretch

Next week at So. Maine on Fri and Salem on Sat afternoon
